Welcome to the ACCADEMIA INSEGNARE CALCIO, a Premiere Italian Soccer School, where tradition, knowledge, competence and results go hand in hand. The Accademia is based in Perugia Italy and is specialized for years in organizing, throughout the year various and specific soccer training programs for students/players, boys and girls, from all over the world. In particular, Accademia Insegnare Calcio is pleased and proud to present its program and to be able to offer academy places to International and Italian “players/students” in our full time Soccer Academy Program.

The Soccer Year Long and Half Year Long Programs are a great opportunity in which young soccer players can improve own soccer abilities and to measure them with the italian soccer methodology of learning under the guidance and the teaching of known and qualified UEFA Professional Coaches with a large and long experience through various Youth Sector of Italian’s Serie A and B professional club.

In our training programs the students/players train 4/5 times a week for 2 hour and a half a day. Also we give to the students the possibility to participate in a specific Gym Program adapted for the soccer.
At the end of the long programs (six or nine months) will be organized try-outs with Italian Professional Clubs for all the students which have reached an adequate improvement and an appropriate level of soccer.

All the students/players registered to six or nine months program, based on the age, will be enrolled at the Famous Perugia’s University for Foreigners or at the Prestigious College Convitto Nazionale di Assisi to follow a study training to learn Italian language and culture.

At the end of each program all the students/players will receive a detailed Evaluation’s Report for the Soccer activity and for the School season and a Official Letter of Recommendation for the future College.

Accademia Insegnare Calcio offers a complete experience: to acquire knowledge in a new way to learn, to improve the skills, and to have opportunities to play in the Italian soccer; to become immersed in Italian culture and Italian language study; to increase the experience of the student and of the “player”. Our staff of professional licensed UEFA coaches, educators and professors, offers this experienced professional knowledge of soccer, after 10 years of technical collaboration with professional clubs from the Italian Serie A and B.

International Soccer camps, Soccer Coaching Symposiums, Scouting, and Soccer Affiliation programs that we offered to the international soccer associations, have given us the necessary and fundamental experience to understand all the necessities of a young foreign soccer player and to find the right keys to build a perfect teaching program, both individual and collective. In this regard, “we like to see the coach as a ‘tailor’ - it is not simply enough to have good material available to make a fine suit, but a good tailor is needed more to custom design all the right pieces so that the “suit” fits the individual person, our student/player”. In this way, it is our program’s main intention to customize a program meeting the individual needs of our athletes so that they can reach 100% of their capacity.

THE SOCCER IDEA OF ACCADEMIA INSEGNARE CALCIO

The Accademia Insegnare Calcio Soccer Boarding School Programs are designed for all young and serious soccer players, both boys and girls, from 14-22 years old, which desire to develop their soccer abilities over an extended period of time (nine months or six months), the program is available to both high school and University level students. Soccer skills are developed simultaneously during a valuable and important immersion in the study of the Italian culture and language through regular courses at a prestigious Italian high school and university for foreigners. After a first period of acclimatization with this new and unique experience, all school lectures, training sessions and social activities are conducted in Italian.

This is a fantastic and unique experience for a new way to learn soccer and culture, making new friends from all over the world and spending an important and extended period in Italy developing one’s own capacities. Our Academy’s Programs are an excellent way for young athletes to distinguish themselves as soccer players.

Student’s involvement and responsibility are an important and fundamental part of the Academic program. For these reasons we require our students to demonstrate:

ACCADEMIA INSEGNARE CALCIO with the staff of professional coaches, licensed by Uefa with experience teaching targeted specifically to young athletes, offers young players a soccer program designed to provide opportunities to develop and improve their soccer skills and abilities, through a new methodology of teaching soccer. Emphasis is placed on the development of technical skills through the proposal of various specialized exercises that allow the knowledge and understanding of the tactical tasks (both individually and collectively) of the soccer player within the various modern system of play. At the same time, however, we mustn’t forget what the game of soccer truly is, its nature, its development, especially now that the modern game requires: great technical ability, quick mental processes, speed of execution and personality.

The game of soccer as we all know, is an unpredictable sport constantly evolving. A wrong passage of the ball, a deviation of the ball, a movement, a contrast with the opponent can change at any moment the development of the game. For this reason most of our program, through specific exercises, is designed to improve the player in the formation of a flexible mentality, always ready and malleable. Following this particular training will allow and incite the player to understand the reality which surrounds him/her first, both with the eyes and with the mind, in order to then execute a rapid and efficient technical response through appropriate movement and reasoning. A mentally intense training, ensures a preparation and a perfect approach to the game, from all points of view, so that, changes of the play, marking changes, combined and mutual movements and the reading of game situations will develop with ease and speed.

Our academic program is designed to encourage the growth of a player who, from the psychological point of view:

- Is autonomous in the choice of game
- Has courage to initiate plays
- Represents a point of reference for teammates
- Is always available for teammates
- Supports, encourages and helps teammates

And from the technical and tactical point of view knows how:

- To think quickly
- Be creative and unpredictable in the play
- Find the right solution in the play
- Knows how to behave in situations of possession and possession of the ball

The program aimed for students is not only represented by soccer and school, but also from a range of activities as important and central to their full maturity.
Throughout the year, ACCADEMIA INSEGNARE CALCIO organizes for its students/players enrolled, the following activities:

 Complete and specific soccer training program (individual and collective).

 School and University Courses.

 Improvement of Italian language with private lessons.

 Possibility to play with our club partners in the Italian soccer league competitions, for foreign students who are in possession of necessary documents that the Italian Soccer Federation requires to play.

 Friendly matches.

 Try-outs with Italian Professional Clubs for all the students which have reached an adequate improvement and an appropriate level of soccer.

 Specific and individual Gym program for soccer.

 Attending to Italian professional league soccer matches of: Series A-B-C; European Champions League; Uefa Europe Cup.

 Attend the training sessions of professional Italian teams of Serie A-B-C.

 Attend at important sport events.

 Participation in characteristic festivals and special events in the city of Perugia and/or in the Umbria region.

 Cultural excursions to the most famous cities and particular places of Italy.

 In addition to our periodical activities, all students can organize themselves, with the permission of our Academy and their parents, excursions to the nearby and characteristics towns of Umbria and to the main cities of Italy (with trains or public buses).
